Holiday Spirit teaming up in Whittier!

A Time to Celebrate
It’s that time of year to decorate for the holiday season! Our communities love the holiday season and our seniors and staff always enjoy getting ready to celebrate for the holidays. The best part of the holiday season is the events, activities and time spent giving back to the community. So, Emeritus at Casa Whittier and Emeritus at Whittier are working together to the holidays special for everyone.
We had an early visit from Santa, so we brought him to the local senior centers for photos and celebrations! It's not a real holiday unless you get a holiday dance with Santa! That's what the holiday spirit is all about. It's about spending time with friends and family. It's about letting people know you care.
A Time to Give
As much as the holiday season is about celebration, it's far more about giving back. We had a wonderful time participating in a charity tree decorating celebration where an auction is held to sell Christmas trees to the highest bidder! All of the money raised will be donated to local charities. All of our seniors participated in creating the decorations and decorating the tree shown. [ Read more ]
