Our Join Their Journey program encourages residents affected with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease to connect with long term memories of themselves that they are still able to retrieve. By connecting to those long term memories, residents with dementia, or Alzheimer's, are able to retain a sense of self. This is a very important factor to maintaining a high quality of life for our seniors living with dementia or Alzheimer's. Our specially-trained staff joins the resident's journey, any place and any time. Whether our resident's journey means reminiscing about memories of eating hot dogs on Coney Island in 1942, or giving her new baby his first bath, or remembering a trip taken long ago to a homeland.
