"We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do."

This is a simple promise that the staff at Emeritus at Heritage Place - and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities - has shared since 1985, when our community first opened its doors. It's a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful - a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our residents who have chosen our community.

The Perfect Location

Heritage Place is centrally located in an urban area between Stockton and Livermore, just off I-205 and equidistance to San Francisco and Sacramento. Our close proximity to the freeway makes it easy to access everything the region has to offer, including our two major hospitals – Sutter Tracy Community Hospital and Kaiser Permanente in Manteca, just 10 minutes from our assisted living community. There are also a wide variety of large stores nearby, including Wal-Mart, Target and several shopping malls. In addition, the fire department and highway patrol are so close to our community, responders can be here in just a few minutes. Yet while we’re located on a busy street, our beautiful three-story building is set back from the road and surrounded by lovely landscaping, creating a quiet oasis in the midst of a thriving urban community.

Our convenient location puts Heritage Place residents at a real advantage. We’re able to take them to many wonderful places, such as beautiful Lodi Lake to watch the paddleboats and enjoy picnics or to Lincoln Farm in Hayward, where residents watch the animals from the comfort of a train that travels around the park. The Black Oak Casino is less than an hour to our south. And the Cheese Cake Factory – a favorite of our residents – is a short half hour west. We have a wonderful theater close by, where we attend movies and live performances. On Sundays, we take scenic drives all around the back roads of Tracy to enjoy the surrounding rolling farmlands. And of course, we occasionally go into San Francisco, where residents love to stroll along Pier 39, with its many attractions, shops and restaurants. And twice a year, we take the ferry to Alameda, an island community located in the heart of San Francisco Bay.

A Wonderful Selection

Our beautiful three-story community has 110 assisted living apartments in several configurations, including studios and one-bedroom and two-bedrooms units. All of our apartments include a full kitchen with refrigerator, stove and oven; a full bathroom with walk-in shower and bench; wall-to-wall carpeting; and individual temperature controls. In addition, they feature large windows – some apartments have views of our courtyard and some have a balcony or patio. Friendship suites are also available should residents wish to share an apartment for companionship or to save on rent. Our memory care community is located in the same building, but separated from our assisted living community. We offer 21 studios, each with a full-sized refrigerator and bathroom with walk-in shower. Most are friendship suites, as we’ve found that sharing an apartment helps our memory care residents socialize more and feel less isolated. Residents can decorate their apartments any way they wish, including bringing in all of their own furniture. If they need help with purchasing furnishings, we are here to assist them. Emeritus at Heritage Place also welcomes small dogs as long as they are trained.

Our assisted living community offers several common areas, including a bright and spacious dining room, with chandeliers and tables set for four. In our Bistro room, residents can grab a snack while playing a game, doing a craft or simply enjoying good conversation. The Theater Room is busy every Friday night, when residents gather to watch movies. We also have a large quiet room with a fish tank and piano, which we named the Ocean Room. It’s the perfect spot for quiet activities, such as reading or relaxing by the fire. Our community also has an activities room with television and kitchen located on the third floor. This is where we hold our larger social events and parties. We have an outside courtyard, with pathways – the perfect place for walking, playing board games and enjoying outside community events, such as our Fourth of July barbeque and our August Luau. Our grounds are maintained daily, and our residents enjoy sitting out in the sun in front of our building. Our memory care residents have their own secured courtyard with pathways, as well as two comfortable living rooms, a Bistro room, quiet room and theater room. An onsite beauty salon and laundry facilities on each floor are also provided for all residents.

Strong, Caring Professional Relationships

When residents require additional services, such as physical or occupational therapy, we bring in outside agencies to provide therapy right here in our community. In fact, therapist from two local agencies – Focus Health and Gentiva – are here just about every day. We are also licensed to have Hospice come into our community. And we team up with local doctors and home health agencies as necessary, so that we can provide just about every additional service a resident may need, here in the comfort of their own home.

Our Staff

It takes a special person to work in assisted living communities – caring, compassionate and patient. Those attributes describe our staff to a T! Our team of 64 staff members, some of whom have been here since we opened, always go the extra mile for our residents. Starting from day one, we take the time to introduce our newest residents around, helping them feel comfortable and welcome from the moment they move in. Our caregivers often feel like they have “adopted” their residents and devote themselves to making sure each resident is cared for with the utmost dignity and respect. In addition, Tracy is considered an extension of the Bay Area, and as such, a very diverse population of people have moved into this area – and into our community. While everyone speaks English, we have staff members who are bi-lingual in Creole, French, Spanish and Pilipino and often speak with residents in their native languages.
