My great aunt stayed here for several months while she was suffering from dementia. At the initial visit to the facility, I was very impressed with the common areas and the number of activities that they scheduled for residents. They even have a hair salon on site for residents. The caregivers seemed very kind to everyone. As my great aunt was suffering from dementia, she didn't want to socialize, but the caregivers continued to try to get her involved in activities as much as possible. They also made sure she would come to the dining room for her meals. When I would come to visit, they were always helpful to me and let me know if she needed anything. Emeritus is in a nice location in San Juan Capistrano near the Mission. They had a beautiful garden area outside where residents can enjoy the outdoors. Overall, I would say I was pleased with the care my great aunt received, especially with the personal attention she got from the caregivers.

This is a lovely facility walking distance from the Mission San Juan Capistrano. The staff here somehow reflects and carries the influence of the Mission. The staff was almost saintly in their care and attention to the residents. There is a difference in how this place is run. There is a spiritual feel here and it is clearly evident in how staff and residents interact. This is a beautiful facility that reflects the decor of the Mission. The Old Spanish decor is beautifully expressed and is gorgeous in all common areas. The rooms are gorgeous and good size. The apartments are fully functional for independent resident life styles. The grounds are beautiful and lots of walking paths and sitting areas for rest and relaxation. There are so many activities and events I got tired looking at all the fun they have daily. As for the food I ate seconds!!!! I am a picky eater and there are lots of choices for all diets. Vegetarians need not worry as I am one and was full and could eat no more. So if you’re looking for a place for a loved one with an extra spiritual component this is an amazing choice. Schedule a tour you will look no more.
