Emeritus at Carmel Valley Community Testimonials

Community Testimonials

Emeritus Carmel Valley is an assisted living facility that meets the needs of seniors that need a little extra help but still wants to maintain as much independence as possible. While the staff is there whenever they are needed, they respect the resident’s privacy. The lobby is very nicely decorated and very clean. The residents appeared to be bright, alert and active. There was a bus leaving to an event and one to take residents shopping. Staff was articulate and professional as all times. The staff could answer all of my questions and was available when needed. The residents I spoke to said this is an amazing place to live and that the staff is very helpful and nice. They offer a restaurant dining environment and the food looked like gourmet food from a Chef’s cooking show. The staff seemed to be well loved by the residents. The average staff has been working there 5 or more years. The staff knows their residents well and aims to meet all of their needs. This facility seems to cover all of the needs of a senior and will do all they can to make your loved ones stay as personal and pleasant as possible. I would place my loved on here and feel safe they are well cared for.

As all of the other Emeritus this one too does not disappoint. This facility is also gorgeous and is the envy of all other Senior communities, The staff is warm and friendly and they go above and beyond to make the lives of the residents extras special while they live here. The common areas are beautifully decorated and the rooms and apartments are also beautifully decorated. The dining hall is bistro style with amazing choices for meals. Menus are well planned and are healthy. The staff is stellar and thrives on customer service. You will be amazed with the warmth and family feel you will see here. The residents are happy and well cared for and active as a teen age summer camp. This truly is a 5 start resort 24/7.

My grandma was a resident at this facility. She lived in her own small studio apartment within the residence at large. The people who worked there were very nice and I never had a poor experience with the staff (which went against my stereotypes of assisted living homes). They would take residents on trips out into the community, such as going shopping, visiting tourist attractions, going out to lunches, going to the casino, and so forth. I also found that the residents were pretty friendly as well. There was one woman in particular who lived in the semi-independent living area like where my grandma was while her husband lived in a different wing for dementia patients. I thought it was nice they were able to accommodate both of them so that they could be near each other. I know my family felt more at ease knowing that if something were to happen to my grandma there were people available nearby to help her. They weren't overbearing though, which meant she was able to have some freedom even though she couldn't live at home anymore.

My mother has dementia and has been in Emeritus for a while. She will soon be moved to a Hospice very soon. Emeritus is beautiful and very clean. There is food 24/7. The staff is very respectful to the residents and their guests. I would recommend this center to anyone!
