Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with an outdoor courtyard, Emeritus at Merced is one of the premier assisted living and Alzheimer’s communities in the Merced area. Located just north of the city, we offer over 80 studios, one and two bedroom apartments on two floors. Here our residents – in many cases, with their pets – enjoy retirement living. Yet should you need a helping hand from our warm and caring staff, we also offer complete assisted living services, tailor-made to your needs. Our services focus on wellness to help you maintain your health, so you can live as independently as possible.

We understand that every senior has different needs and desires, we are proud to offer a selection of assisted living services and amenities based on each senior’s needs. Emeritus at Merced offers assisted living to make life easier for all seniors. Whether it is to assist with medications, prepare special meals or the peace of mind to know that someone is available twenty-four hours a day our assisted living services offer flexibility and options. We have a well trained staff that cares about your comfort, care and safety and will strive to not only meet your expectations but exceed them. Don’t feel like cooking or doing laundry, that’s fine- let us take care of it for you!

To ensure we meet all your needs, we have designed our own state-of-the-art computerized resident evaluation program called wE Care. This powerful for software tool allows us to accurately evaluate and monitor your loved ones personal care services. In addition, our Director of Resident Care will visit with you or your loved one to personally discuss health-related issues and to monitor your progress.

Our community also offers an innovative memory care program, Join Their Journey®, for seniors affected by Alzheimer’s or dementia. Because your family’s experience will be unlike any other, our goal is to get to know you and your loved one, so that we can offer support and solutions for your individual situation. We “join the journey” of your loved one by recognizing individuality, encouraging choices and allowing residents the dignity to live in a secure, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them.

With its family-friendly atmosphere, Emeritus at Merced feels like home the moment you walk through the doors. Our common areas – including our lovely dining room, library and TV room – give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, including exercise classes, arts and crafts, and community outings. Emeritus at Merced is located within a mile of the Merced Mall, Applegate Park, and an array of stores, shops and banks. Several outstanding medical facilities are also located in the Merced area if ever needed.
