A Wonderful Place to Live
"Our family is committed to yours." At Emeritus at Escondido, we live that promise each and every day by listening to our residents and implementing their choices. Each day is filled with a variety of wonderful, resident-directed social, physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and creative activities that our residents can choose from. Frequent visits from live entertainers add to the festive nature of our retirement community, and our residents take advantage of the many attractions that the sunny San Diego area has to offer. Quite simply, many of our residents begin to really live again.
We have a wonderful time here at Emeritus at Escondido! Our residents enjoy a daily physical activity, such as Tai Chi, "Noodlecise" (a favorite!), Wii Bowling, and many residents participate in our Walking Club, where we enjoy the even walkways that ring our park-like community. We visit one of the many area casinos monthly; go wine tasting at nearby vineyards, take advantage of our proximity to San Diego's world-famous beaches, restaurants and cultural attractions. We have a purpose-built chapel, where we hold Bible study classes three times a week and a lovely Sunday service. Enjoy Bingo, Bridge, or Scrabble? Arts and crafts? How about cooking? Here at Emeritus at Escondido, we have a club for each! And, of course, you can't miss our annual Luau and Hoedown!
Partnering with the Community
Emeritus at Escondido is passionate about being active in the community of Escondido. We frequently partner with the Joslyn Senior Center to provide meals to area seniors, ensure that each of the at-risk seniors that we meet are placed 'safety somewhere,' and will provide home visits to area seniors to bring them a hot meal, install a grab bar, or just provide companionship.
We value and nurture our strong relationships with the area hospitals (Palomar, Palomar-Pomerado, and Tri-City), skilled nursing facilities (Escondido Care Center, LifeCare of Escondido, Palomar Continuing Care Center, Palomar Heights Care Center, and Villa Pomerado), and home health partners. Our strong relationships with these affiliations allow us to provide a seamless continuum of care for our residents.
Fine Dining
Three delicious and skillfully prepared meals are served each day. Each meal features a well-balanced and savory entree; or, our residents can choose from a variety of alternate items. Meals are served in our homey, comfortable dining room in a restaurant-style atmosphere, so that residents can enjoy conversation and companionship with their newly-found friends and neighbors, all the while enjoying a satisfying culinary experience.
