For all of us, our health needs can change on a dime. At Emeritus at Carlsbad, our team is here to assist those residents who may find themselves needing an extra hand, either temporarily or on a permanent basis. You may need someone to help you get ready for the day, manage your medications, or prepare special meals. Sometimes that extra assistance is all we need to continue living safely on our own. We offer all the support you may need, but only if and when you need it. Our full range of assisted living services is designed to help you maintain or improve your health, so you can live as independently as possible. To ensure we meet each resident’s individual needs, we use a state-of-the-art computerized assessment system which helps us accurately evaluate, predict and monitor the appropriate assisted living services for each resident.

We understand that every senior has different needs and desires, so a selection of assisted services and amenities is available through our community depending on each resident's needs. Emeritus at Carlsbad offers assisted living to make life easier for our residents and their families. The assisted living services provided include: 24-hour personal care, laundry and linen service, housekeeping, life enrichment, transportation and more.

Skilled Nursing Care

Our skilled nursing community is complete with round-the-clock nursing care provided by RNs, LVNs and CNAs to attend to every patient’s needs. We also provide a comprehensive therapy team including licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists to work with patients during their stay with us. Although skilled nursing is designed to be a more clinical setting, we strive to make this part of the community feel warm and inviting for everyone we have the pleasure of serving. We welcome visitors anytime to be with their loved ones and encourage them throughout their healing process.

Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Services

Our memory care neighborhood offers an innovative program, “Join Their Journey”, for seniors affected by Alzheimer's or dementia. Your family's experience will be unlike any other, our goal is to get to know you and your loved one, so that we can offer support and solutions for your individual situation. We "join the journey" of your loved one by recognizing individuality, encouraging choices and allowing residents the dignity to live in a secure, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them. We believe in joining our residents in their moment as they recall days gone by rather than pulling them into our own reality, which may lend more to their confusion. Our program offers many one-on-one activities to help build trust encourage communication and help to promote memory. We also have a wide range of group activities which help stimulate residents by giving them opportunities to socialize. This includes gentle stretching exercises, bingo games, arts and crafts, and many outings such as scenic drives, trips to local parks and restaurants and much more.

Emeritus at Carlsbad is passionately involved in supporting Alzheimer's disease research efforts by raising money and being a proud sponsor for the Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. As part of Emeritus, we have access to resources and expertise that can orient and educate family with valuable information and tools to help assist you in understanding and supporting your loved one's needs.
