Emeritus at Sun City West Community Testimonials

I went to this facility during a special event they were having and it was my first time ever visiting this facility. They were having a 4th of July celebration and I loved watching the residents socialize with their friends and have a blast during the barbecue and fireworks. They had brought in entertainment and the residents were dancing and having a wonderful time. The staff passed out little American flags and red, white, and blue beaded necklaces and Uncle Sam hats, etc and the residents loved them. I really admired the way that the staff interacted with the residents. They were so loving, I overheard one of the staff members ask a resident if she could get her anything and told her that she looked absolutely beautiful in her "America" shirt. The resident was beaming from ear to ear, she loved the compliment and the attention. I spoke with some family members present at the event and they told me that since their dad moved into the facility that he has gained much needed weight and that he was becoming more involved in group events and that he has made many wonderful friends who also live in the facility. I could see how happy the family was and how they seemed so relieved not to have to worry about their dad's well being. That is one thing that I consistently heard throughout the event, residents and families love the quality of service and they love that they staff is so protective and loving. The residents feel very safe living in the facility which I think is one of the most important aspects about an assisted living home. I am always telling new people about Emeritus at Sun City West and I hope I get the chance to go back to the facility to visit again one day soon.
